White fluffy view

In blurbs and fluff, the clouds whisked by just like the month of January. Beautiful day. I do appreciate the framing of the tall, featherlike trees. This section of the Nicoll Highway has always reminded me of the country, and I swear I often smell hay.

It reminds me of the life I would love to spend time with.

Snapped with X1 and almost missed the bus.

P.S. Did I mention that I love the GeoTag on my X1 R3 camera!?

Fast forward

Spent the past two months soaking up company and snapping photos. Like most people, I try to keep to my new year resolutions in the early part of the new year. Doing pretty well so far.

Of the many things, finally made it to the Marina Barrage. View from the nation’s pride was stunning. It stirs a silent sense of peace and at the same time, makes one whine about not having a better camera that can handle night shots.

From the barrage

Side lesson – never sit in a cigar room when you don’t smoke. Your eyes will be the first to go. Having said that, Connoisseur Divan is lovely with pleasant hosts.

Caught by the sound

How many pictures have you taken with your phone-camera during this holiday season? And did you or your subjects find the shutter sound annoying and you have since turned it off?

It may soon be impossible to do so in the US. A new bill to require mobile phones containing digital cameras to make a sound when a photograph is taken has been proposed.

I can see where the sponsor is coming from. I can almost understand the need to safeguard privacy. But seriously. If some weird person wishes to take unauthorised pictures, this shutter thing will not be his or her biggest hurdle.

Dubbed as the Camera Phone Predator Alert Act, how I see it – it should have a function that screams upon the shutter-click, “Your picture has just been captured by [fill in cellphone number]. Contact the police if you do not authorise this act.” Now, that will be an alert.

Good break, good memories

This is exhausting. No more red eye. No more! You would think one will learn. Sigh, will definitely have to sleep in tomorrow.

Fortunately the pictures and videos are fantastic, though am disappointed that I had succumbed to laziness and did not take more.

Miss the fresh air, the spectacular views, the blue blue sky and most importantly, the company. Thanks guys, like it or not, will be back.

Big blue wheel

What would you do if you’re crawling in traffic? I took pictures with my trusty Siemens S65 (hurray for 1MP phone cameras!). It was fun.

I think the traffic-induced-photo session beats the ‘flying experience’ onboard the Flyer, with more soil that I care to view for S$30.

Hope the motorist(s) involved in the accident are alright.
